Realms: Oloth Logs

Here kitty kitty kitty....

Safix arrives from Erythyn Street.

Kern arrives from Erythyn Street.

Keesha waves to Safix and Kern from her perch over her favorite table. "Evening."

Alois. is sitting with his feet up on the hearth of the merrily blazing fire, sipping from a tallglass of dark wine..

Kern comes in a few minutes behind Safix, with a white cat tagging at his heels...

Safix arrives, looking less tightly wound than usual. "Hi, Keesha." She waves back. "Mind if I join you?"

Keesha waves a wing at the table. "Be my guest. Plenty of chairs, if you like that sort of thing."

Safix flashes a grin at Keesha. "Do I really have much choice there?" She flaps her arms pointedly.

Keesha chirrips a giggle. "Well... I suppose not."

Kern moves to speak quietly to Talabrina, procuring a mug of zzar, and a small bowl of milk. He carries both back to his favorite chair, and setting the bowl on the floor for the blue-furred cat to drink, which he does. He then settles in his chair, nodding amicably to Alois. "Evening."

Alois smiles at Kern, then looks at the cat suspiciously. "Evening.. I trust I'm not going to have to duck projectiles?"

Safix blinks at the... blue... cat.

Kern blinks. "Projectiles?"

Keesha frowns at the feline. "Kern... is that cat getting... darker?"

The cat almost gives Alois a withering glare, his red fur contrasted against the flickering flames of the fire.

Alois says, "I'm well aware of your father's fondness for projectile hurling animals.. and his fondness for me as their target."

Kern blinks, and then snorks. "As I recall, Khyrath was the one hit by the Coke can. And no, Prism does not vomit projectiles of any kind."

Safix can't keep her eyes off the cat of a different color.

Alois grins and looks at the cat again. "Prism.. appropriate.." He looks back up at Kern. "Your familiar?"

Safix says quietly to Keesha, "I think I have to go touch it, excuse me..."

The cat's green tail twitches, knowing he is being watched, but ignoring all for the sake of his milk.

Kern smiles and nods to Alois, for correctly guessing. "A present from father. He said I would probably need the help of one who would help me see clearly...though he *did* want to call the cat Schrodinger...."

Safix stops by the bar for a glass of fruit juice and a plate of smoked salmon. =)

Kern says, "Sometimes, father confuses even *me* with his references."

Alois quirks an eyebrow, "Schrodinger? Your father gets stranger by the moment."

Keesha chuckles. She got the joke.

Kern chuckles and he leans back. "That's in his nature, Alois. You should know that, of all people. ;)"

Alois chuckles, "I'm fairly well aquainted with it, yes.."

Alois turns around to take a look at who is in his establishment, his eyes landing on Safix. He nods to her, "Evening, M'lady.." Then his eyes glide to Keesha, "Good evening, Keesha.."

Kern crosses his legs. "I did mean to ask you about something, Alois...is there any unrest because of the continued presence of my...order?"

Alois shakes his head at Kern. "Unrest? No.. Concern, to an extent, but not unrest as you would define it."

Kern chuckles. "Is there a fear that the Lord of Chaos might be making a powerplay, then?"

Alois smirks at Kern, "Oh, they're not afraid.."

Kern says, "Even of Coke-burping rabbits?"

Alois laughs! "Well, maybe just a little afraid.."

Kern grins toothily.

Keesha is sipping her usual favorite, mead, and listening to the local conversations. She whispers to Safix when she returns, "That cat is shifting its colors, isn't it?"

Safix pauses in her walk over to Kern and the cat, then lifts her chin slightly and says "Evening, M'lord," to Alois, and continues toward them.

Safix catches Keesha's eye, nods, and grins.

The ebony cat finishes his milk and settles down on some pillows by the fire, looking wisely into the flames.

Kern says, "But you did mention concern?"

Alois looks vaguely intrigued by Safix's reaction to him.. He takes a sip of his wine and sets it down, watching her..

Safix pauses outside the polite circle of conversation and says a tiny bit shyly to Kern and Alois, "Do you mind if I sit here as well? I *must* introduce myself to this lovely and tasteful feline."

The cat turns his head to look at Safix, as if knowing he is being talked about, licking his chops and tilting his indigo head curiously.

Alois says, "Of course we don't mine."

Alois says, "Of course we don't mind."

Kern nods. "Be our guest. :>"

Dermott arrives from Erythyn Street.

Dermott meanders in. "Good evening...," he says, mildly cheerfully.

Kern looks around the side of his chair. "Ah, Dermott, come and be welcome... :>"

Alois looks up and smiles at Dermott, "Evening."

Safix's eyes move almost imperceptibly to Alois, looking at her, and then back to Kern so nonchalantly she might as well just say "Alois doesn't unnerve me a bit, no really! Please don't bite!"

Keesha waves from her ceiling perch.

Dermott says, "Thank you muchly, Kern. And good evening, Alois, and mesdames Keesha and Safix, good evening!"

Kern prods Alois. "You were saying about concern in some quarters? Of what? Wild magic?"

Safix moves over by the fire, the cat, Alois, sitting cross-legged on the floor with her back against the hearth.

Alois takes another sip of his wine..

The purple cat looks wisely at Safix, and with a curious expectancy....

Alois watches the shifting cat, curious about the colour changes himself..

Kern absently notes Alois refuses to answer his question, so he abandons it for now. "The changes don't mean anything, if that's what you're wondering. He name is Prism, not Mood Ring."

Keesha can't really see the color shifts, but does see Prism as drifting between black, white, and various levels of grey. She watches to see what will happen.

Dermott glances around, wondering what everyone is looking at, then he spots the cat. He arches an eyebrow. "Hello...."

Safix smiles slyly and eats a bit of smoked salmon off her plate, slowly, watching the cat for signs of interest.

Alois shakes his head, "They're not overly concerned about anything specific yet. It is the concern that follows the introduction of any new group."

Kern nods in response.

Alois chuckles, "Pity.. I wondered if she was a mood indicator for you.."

The cat perks up at the sight of salmon, getting up and watching the traveling of fish to mouth....his fur changing colors a little more rapidly now...

Kern smiles. "No. Prism was actually, from what my father said, a creature of the Weave. You've seen the multitude of colors that the Weave takes on through me...Prism seems to reflect that as well."

Safix smiles a tiny bit wider and turns her head to face the cat, holding out a bit of fish. "Oh, would you like some too? I'll share..."

Alois grins, "Does that mean the weave gets excited about fish?"

Dermott glances to Kern. "Prism? That little fellow there is your cat? Or rather more to the point, you're his?

The cat eyes the fish, licking his chops again, and then raising up on his hind legs and gingerly takes the fish in his mouth, chewing enthusiastically.

Alois tilts his head slightly, "So, Lady Safix.. what is it that you do here in Oloth?"

Kern laughs! at Alois and Dermott both. "oh he is a cat, whatever else he is. He likes milk and fish and scritches and warmth as much as any other cat. And Prism would probably argue I'm his...thought he'd probably be inclined to disown me given his druthers... ;)"

Safix says with a touch of smug, "Pleased to make your acquaintance, handsome cat. May I call you Prism? I'm Safix..."

Dermott chuckles softly. "He does seem... quite unique!"

Prism tilts his head at Safix, his coat of swirling colors seemingly merging, suddenly making the cat translucent, as if he were crystal. "Good eve, Lady Safix. Thank you kindly for the fish. Would you, perchance, have any catnip as well? I'm in the mood for a cup of catnip tea..."

Safix is still for a moment, then looks Alois almost in the eyes. "I have a silver jewelry and fine daggers shop nearby... I suppose you could call me an artist."

Keesha does a double-take at hearing the cat speak. Her gaze and her sonar-sense both fix on the little feline.

Alois nods slowly. "I'll have to come by, sometime.. I'm a collector, of sorts."

Dermott blinks as the cat disappears-- no, he turns transparent. He's even more suprised as the cat speaks. "Unique indeed," he murmurs.

Prism looks a little smug at startling Keesha and others.

Alois sets his drink down before he drops it. "Here I thought familiars could only talk to their mage.."

Kern says, "Like I said, Prism is not a mere cat. He's special."

Safix is so grateful for the distraction she fails to react with surprise. =) "Alas, I have none, but I'll look through my teas tonight and see, should we meet again-- which I would certainly like."

Prism nods amicably. "A worthwhile endeavor, surely. Now then...any more fish for a poor, malnourished cat?"

Safix adds, looking thoughtful, "Would you like more salmon? Feel free to serve yourself, if you wish." She indicates the plate resting in her lap with a small gesture.

Kern stiffles a chuckle.

Alois nods, "Clearly.. very special.. I hope she has your black wit, Kern."

Safix offers a piece aintily in her slim fingers anyway.

Kern says, "She has bludgeoned me with it, yes. ;)"

Alois grins, "Good."

Kern says, "Gah! He! He! I keep telling you Prism's a he, but your stubborn insistence at halling him a 'she' has warped my mind!"

Safix turns almost smoothly back to Alois. "I'd like that, of course, m'lord. Be welcome."

Dermott chuckles softly, "It seems that Prism would be most pleased to correct you, Kern...."

Prism purrrs and grabs the fish in his jaws, favoring the hand with a headrub as he eats the fish....

Alois says, "Oh.. sorry. I didn't realise."

Safix scratches the bases of Prism's ears and under his chin, if she is permitted. =)

Kern scratches his chin. "Of course, considering his origin, he may be a misnomer. Prism may be a neuter. I never bothered to uhm...check."

Prism most definitely permits scritches, and looks positively hedonistic in his enjoyment of them.

Safix says very quietly to the cat, "Does he talk about you as if you aren't right here listening very often?"

Prism's eyes twinkle. "I do it all the time to him, so I figure it's only fair. ;)"

Alois chuckles..

Safix giggles and offers more fish. "Touche, my dear gentleman."

Safix says, "Er, gentlecat, sorry."

Safix leans back comfortably and looks at Alois thoughtfully out of the corner of her vision.

Prism eats the proffered treat. "Please, no titles. I'm Prism. Titles get in the way."

Alois leans back in his chair, getting comfortable and grabs his wine up from the table.

Safix shrugs and smiles. "Can't say I

Dermott grins wryly. "In the way of fish, it seems," he quips.

Kern says, "Any news of the Uhuman war, Alois? Or anything else of import? I've been away the last few days..."

Safix says, "don't pretty much agree there. So long as you all me Safix, I'll call you Prism.""

Alois shakes his head, "No one within the EIF or the Government has heard from those who went to fight and it's been difficult to sort fact from fiction on inbound ships."

Kern snaps his fingers. "That reminds me, I'm sorry I dissapeared Keesha...but some rather important things arose...not to mention my father's gift of Prism."

Prism actually rolls his eyes. "I'm not a gift, bonehead. I don't care what he told you."

Keesha nods back to Kern. "You had mentioned the possibility. I wasn't too alarmed yet."

Safix stifles a giggle with a quick hand.

Alois laughs, not nearly polite enough to stop himself.

Dermott grins widely. "Well, he does certainly have your wit, Kern...."

Safix grins rakishly at Kern. "Perhaps he's a sibling."

Kern sighs. "To my dismay, yes."

Safix blinks. "Really?"

Kern blinks and shakes his head. "Not abou;t the sibling, part. About the 'wit' part."

Safix looks innocent. "Ohh."

Safix continues stroking the soft-furred cat.

Prism sniffs. "I'll say. Especially since it seems most of your wit has dribbled out your ears, it's no wonder I might have picked up a great deal of it."

Alois falls asleep.

Kern sighs. "Cats. Can't live with them, and the fur is too thin for a rug."

Dermott arches an eyebrow, grinning still. "This," he says, "should be quite an interesting relationship brewing...."

Keesha chirrips.

Prism glares. "How would you like me to gut you, Kern?"

Kern says, "Thanks, no. Awfully good of you to ask, though."

Alois says, "Only if the peanut gallery is allowed to watch.. and for the sake of the gods, don't mess up my floors."

Kern sighs. "I wonder if the Weave allows refunds...or at least exchanges..."

Safix relaxes against the hearth, warm and contently stroking Prism.

Prism ignores Kern completely, curling into a catball and purring loudly as Safix pets him.

Safix can't resist a little tiny smug smile quirking the corners of her lips.

Safix turns slightly to regard Alois. "If I may ask... a collector of what sort?"

Alois says, "Weapons.. especially if crafted well and aestheticially pleasing."

Dermott tilts his head to the side, looking to Alois.

Kern tilts his head. "I didn't know that about you, Alois.."

Alois nods at Kern, "I've gathered a fair collection.. but most of it is at home."

Safix arches a brow at Alois. "All weapons, or specifically bladed?"

Alois says, "Bladed for the most part.. though I can change that on a whim, for the right weapon."

Dermott chuckles softly. "I'm afraid I was an anachronism in the Colonies and the space outside the rift, myself. Not many people bothered to carry a sword, least of all learn how to use it.

Safix looks interested in spite of herself. "Do you also enjoy an interest in hand-to-hand unarmed pasttimes?"

Keesha grins over at Dermott. "My people never even invented swords."

Alois says, "Not such a bad thing now, Dermott. It will prove useful. If anyone ever questions you, call it 'foresight'.. "

Kern says, "Pasttime...never heard it called that, before..."

Kern's lips curl into a wry grin.

Alois quirks an eyebrow, looking faintly amused, "That depends on your definition of unarmed hand-to-hand passtimes, Lady Safix."

Safix says almost shyly to Kern, "Sparring can be a lot of fun."

Safix blinks, looks back at Alois, and blushes *hard*.

Alois chuckles.

Kern does not quite smile, but his eye glitter with repressed mirth at the way the words spoken could be taken. "Are you offering then, to engage with me in....'combat'?" he says teasingly.

Safix laughs a little, trying to squirm out of the entendres... "You're not really my size, Kern. Terrible advantage of reach there."

Dermott grins to Alois. "No, not a bad thing at all. It's been quite a time trying to blend main gauche and broadsword techniques...

Kern's face curls in a Will Rikerish type grin. "So size does matter then, hmm? ;)"

Alois grins at Dermott, "Well, with practice you can do anything."

Dermott blinks, glancing between Kern and Safix. "Well, Alois... I can try, but hopefully I won't be too out of practice when I need to draw the old schiavona again...."

Safix looks back to Alois, catches *his* comment, and looks down and scratches Prism harder for a bit.

Safix says innocently to Dermott, "But aren't you married, sir?"

Kern chuckles. "I think we'd better quit while we're ahead. It's not clear another if we're talking about swordplay or bedroom matters anymore. ;)"

Alois says, "Who was talking about bedrooms? I was firmly on the subject of swordplay.."

Safix says quickly, "Me too! And a bit of unarmed sparring, perhaps, on the side."

Safix blinks and realizes that one isn't such a great wording either.

Kern says, "Speaking of which, how's Eimi?"

Alois says, "She's fine."

Kern smiles kindly at Safix. "Forgive me, then, for my salacious commentary, then. :)"

Dermott doesn't quite successfully hide his grin with the innuendo.

Dermott laughs. "I am married, madame Safix. A schiavona is a Slavic basket-hilted broadsword."

Kern arches his eyebrow at the perfunctory answer, but does not press further.

Safix grins at Dermott briefly, nods and smiles to Kern, also briefly, and turns to Alois. "You know Eimi too?

Kern smiles a small smile, but leaves it for Alois to answer.

Alois nods, "Yes, of course.. How do you know Eimi?"

Prism absently washes his face as he happily gets petted.

Safix says hesitantly, "We... met a few nights ago, here. And had rather a lot in common."

Alois nods, smiling, "Oh?"

Alois takes a sip of his wine. "I'm glad that you got a chance to meet, Eimi.. May I ask how she was?"

Kern listens quietly, interested.

Safix looks thoughtfully and less warily at Alois. "She was well... rather pale, but well, I think. We discussed her profession a bit."

Alois chuckles, "She's always very pale.. Thank you, though.. I worry for her."

Dermott remains quiet, pausing only to retrieve a steaming mug from Talabrina.

Safix says to Alois with a small smile, "If you see her before I do, and it sounds like you may, please convey my apologies for the conversation, my thanks for her offer but I still feel the same, though I'd like to see her again in a nonprofessional capacity.

Alois looks utterly confused, "I assume she'll understand.. though you've got my curiousity up. I'll pass the message on."

Kern enjoys the look of utter confusion, since he doesn't see it often. ;)

Safix rather enjoys it too, and hides her smile behind a sip of fruit juice.

Dermott smiles softly, taking a sip of his drink.

Alois ducks his head a little, "I live in a state of prepetual confusion where women are involved, Kern.. " He looks up and grins.

Kern yawns and relaxes in his chair., smiling back at Alois. "You and me both, old bean."

Safix blinks, off solid ground again, and flushes very slightly.

Keesha snorts to herself. As if groundlings are easy to understand?

Alois grins at Safix, "Put yourself at ease, Lady Safix.. we tease the people that we like around here."

Dermott chimes in, "Especially when there are fewer than five people here."

Kern says, "Fortunately, Sylune and Kyria went with Rennyn, and Ophelia's been behaving herself, so I haven't been caughty like a deer in the headlights recently, though..."

Keesha skrees, "Hmmm. Doesn't Prism count?"

Dermott glances towards Prism. "He does, at that." He looks to Alois. "Have you the insurance paid up, I hope?"

Kern says, "I feel relatively certain Prism's a he, Keesha. Besides, wrong species. ;)"

Alois grins at Dermott, "Rather a requirement around here.."

Safix says, "Is that a yes? =)"

Prism seems to be ignoring the conversation, as cats are wont to do.

Alois tilts his head, "Keesha, won't you join us? The fire's died down a bit now.. I'm sure you'll be okay.."

Safix smiles a genuine, if slightly startled, smile at Alois... "...thank you, m'lord."

Keesha shrugs and flits over to the common table, settling above it after setting her drink down. (She actually carried it with her foot-claws.)

Keesha skrees, "It's the light that's annoying."

Kern says, "oh, and don't worry, Alois. Prism is not wont to cause Chaos *all* the time...despite his nature."

Alois looks up at Keesha, "Comfy?"

Dermott says, "You mean, he does it often enough to warrant 'most' of the time?"

Alois grins at Kern, "Glad to hear it. I hate competiton." He winks at Kern.

Safix essays tentatively but bravely, "Does that mean you're still not biting, too?"

Alois laughs, "Maybe."

Keesha nods. "Of course. Doesn't the blood keep rushing away from your head like that?"

Kern snickers.

Alois says, "I suppose it does.. I'm sort of used to it, though.."

Safix giggles, then pauses to think about the ways that could be taken.

Prism lifts his head. "I space it out. For maximum dramatic effect."

Alois looks at Prism, "Are you saying that I'm not dramatic?"

Dermott arches an eyebrow, grinning to Keesha. "I imagine that you and your people are relatively immune to redout, madame."

Keesha skrees, "Pretty much so, yes."

Safix quietly strokes the cat and watches the drow-cat dynamic, smiling.

Prism looks at Alois unimpressedly. "Is a one trick pony impressive? Oh fear me, I control the shadows and look menacing."

Alois says, "Keesha, does it work in reverse? Do get dizzy when you're ... standing with your head facing up.. I didn't want to say upsidedown or rightsideup..."

Dermott blinks. "I daresay, Alois, the cat's baiting you."

Alois looks at the cat, with an unreadable expression. "Oh, you think so?"

Keesha grins. "No, not really. We can walk if we have to, and we're sometimes upright in flight. Very good blood flow biofeedback in our bodies."

Safix shivers slightly, feeling uncomfortable to be so close to the two sparring verbally...

Prism licks his paws and rubs his face with it dismissively. "All I'm saying is that it loses its potency with those that are familiar with it. Whereas I'm unpredictable enough to make the gods wince in expectation."

Kern says, "Did I mention that Prism has a hgue ego? Or does that go hand in hand with calling him a cat?"

Keesha skrees, "Does seem a trifle redundant, yes."

Prism sniffs. "Go sniff Dermott's butt, half-wolf."

Dermott says dryly, with a grin, "But for opposable thumbs, you'd be among the Olympians, I'm sure."

Safix moves slightly to put herself a little more between the cat and Alois in case of voilence.

Alois ppfts, "Delusions of Grandeur. At least I can back my ego up."

Dermott's eyebrows both rise.

Kern sighs ans sits back. "Don't take it personally, Dermott. I think this antipathy might be just a natural canine-feline thing."

Alois says, "Not that I feel the need to prove myself to a kitten that think it's a tiger."

Safix relaxes and lets out a tiny sigh.

Dermott says dryly, "Oh, that's quite all right, Kern...."

Prism makes a small smile at Alois. "Really?"

Alois chuckles, "Really, Kitten.. I wouldn't want to hurt my friend with backlash teaching you a lesson."

Dermott glances around. Rule of Five, chaoskitty getting smarmy at Alois, and Alois chuckling. This is bad.

Safix steps in diplomatically, trying to change the subject. and resuming cat-petting. "Ah, Alois, you mentioned earlier that you do spar unarmed sometimes? I was looking for a partner my size, if you have time free now and then... though I'm sure you're more skilled..."

A window close to the bar suddenly shatters, and a small spherical projectile bounces on the floor and lands on a table. A moment later, a pig with wings comes fluttering through the broken window with a peculair shaped metal club. "Scuze me, playing through..." it oinks.

Safix finishes, "Perhaps, if you wer willing, you could help me improve my own skills."

Dermott opens his mouth to say something, half-ducks as the thing comes through the window, then just... doesn't quite stare at the flying pig as it... plays through. We're doomed. Airborne porcines.

Alois hmms at Safix, "What's your weapon of choice? Or do you prefer hand to hand."

Keesha sonar-pings the pig, wondering if it's really there.

The pig stands on the table, and test waves the club towards the white ball. "Fore!" it shrieks and breaks another window with the ball. The pig flutters out after it.

Alois smirks at Prism. "Oh, look.. Chaotic Inane are you?"

Prism stands on all four legs. "You think you can do better?"

Kern groans. "Someone get the fallout shelter ready..."

Safix says to Alois, "I'm a dagger lover, but I have no practice blades at the moment and I'd rather not risk needless arm damage... until I have my blunt blades sent, perhaps some unarmed? A bit of grappling? I could use the practice.

Dermott takes a slow sip of his drink, since it might be the last of the evening. I think I liked it better when they were exchanging innuendo, he thinks. At least then we weren't in danger of imminent devastation. Hmm... I wonder how long the chaoskitty could power a 'jamming helm. I'm sure Kern could estimate it after seeing what the 'kitty does to the Path....

Alois nods at Safix.. "Certainly.. Uhmm. Perhaps you should just move to the side a little, mm?"

Safix is actually more interested in Alois' answer than the pig. =)

Dermott shifts his seat away from the table a bit. He was afraid Alois was going to say something like that....

Kern actually stays close at ahnd, fidgeting with his roguestone ring...

Safix picks up the cat, though she looks scared again. "Is that really necessary?" She hisses fiercely, "Prism, shut up! You're being rude. Cats have better manners than two-leggers, right? Prove it!"

Alois stands up and takes his 'cloak' off.. He tosses it towards the wall, where it hits and spreads out into a circular shadow that begins to swirl.. As it swirls it colours with purple, turning into a portal, from which steps a huge black hound who also appears to be crafted of shadows.. It turns it's red eyes and starts towards the cat. It opens its mouth, as though to bark, but instead lets out a frighteningly human sounding scream and leaps for the cat...

Safix dives out of the way.

Keesha winces at the noise and retrieves her mug.

Alois puts his hand out, stopping the creature in mid-leap. It hangs there in the air a moment, before being sucked back into the portal.. The portal snaps shut and the shadows dart across the room, forming themselves back into a cloak, hanging off Alois' shoulders.

Dermott blinks, and almost falls backwards in his chair. "Bloody Fenris!" he barks, scrambling to stand and half-draw his sword in the same moment.

Dermott glances between Prism, and Alois, and back and forth again, before slowly, righting his chair and settling into it. "And I'm supposed to be worried about the Navy?"

Safix is much paler than usual, shaking, and somewhere between frightened and really pissed off.

Alois sits back down and takes up his glass, drinking the last swallow of wine. He smirks at the cat.

Alois remarks, "Screamdog.. quite dangerous in their natural habitat.. which this bar, fortunately, isn't."

Kern looks only mildly irritated, though any initial reason was probably lost in the chaos of Safix picknig him up and then dropping him again. "What next, Chosen of Vhaeraun? Will you pull shadow rabbits out of your hat?"

Keesha chuckles. "Sounded a bit thin, too."

Alois tsks.. "I didn't pull it out of my hat.. I summoned it from the Shadowhalls of My Lord."

Safix rolls her eyes, hisses "*men!*" under her breath and stalks off to the bar to return her dishes and get more drink.

Dermott nods slowly. "Screamdog. Right. I'll try to remember that." I really hope Auntie's Loa Lords are jovial enough to keep ship and crew safe from that sort of thing if we run into it in the wilds!

Kern notes wryly. "She told us."

Alois smirks at the cat again. "Enough.. I don't feel like replacing all of my furniture again. Call it a draw... for now."

Kern looks directly at Prism. "Behave. This is not the time or place to flex your muscles further, Prism."

Safix mutters something about who's flexing which muscles under breath from over by the bar.

Prism's immediate gaze does not waver from Alois's eyes, but then he makes a noise like a sniff and looks disinterestedly at Kern. "As you wish." he yawns, curling back up.

Kern relaxes. "Disaster avtered."

Dermott finishes his drink, then stands, adjusting his baldric. "Well," he says, trying to sound pleasant and unruffled, "I should be off, I think, this has been more than enough excitement for one night. Which is certainly an indicator that my crew and I should get back into space at some point!"

Alois looks over at Safix, "Sorry.. I didn't think you'd pick Prism up before you moved.. My apologies.."

Alois chuckles at Dermott, "Sleep well, Dermott.."

Kern nods. "Aye. Give my regards to your absent wife, Old Wolf. :>"

Alois stands, "I'm afraid I have to take my leave for the evening.. Aluve'.."

Safix is still over at the bar feeling bristly; she gives Alois a curt nod and turns back to the bar.

Kern nods. "Rest well, Alois."

Dermott nods to Kern, "I will, old friend. A good night to you, Kern, Alois. And to you, mesdames Keesha and Safix...."

Alois leaves the bar, heading back out onto Erythyn Street.
