Lord Alton Teken'duis (Alois)
Alton became a resident of the Oloth Sphere fairly recently, as Elven lifespans go. He came to the Sphere after hearing rumours that his half-brother had taken up residence there. Going to the Sphere seeking to take his place in the blood-feud that had been started, Alois grew to like Oloth, and even to consider it a home. He set up shop there, in the form of The Wandering Path Inn and Tavern, and became a resident of the sphere.
Alton was born and raised in Menzoberranzan, in House Teken'duis, now a dead house. House Teken'duis was sixteenth house of the city, eight houses away from having a position on the ruling council. He was born in the position of Thirdboy, but was raised to Secondboy on the death of his eldest brother.
The might of the city, in the form of the armies of House Baenre (First House), and the combined forces of the academy fell upon House Teken'duis, after a failed attempt to destroy another house. Drow law states that if, in the attempted destruction of a House, any witnesses are left, the aggressor house is to be destroyed. Witnesses can only be members of the Matron Mother's immediate family. Alton fled the destruction of his house, and found a place for himself within the ranks of Bregan D'aerthe, a powerful merchant band in the city. When he fled House Teken'duis, he also fled his life as a Lloth worshipper, turning instead to Vhaeraun, the Masked God of Night.
Through many years as a worshipper of Vhaeraun, Alton found himself in the Night Above, the surface of Toril, where he took the name Alois. While upon the surface he met another drow, going by the name of Gala'maDred. Through time the two discovered that they were brothers, through their father.
Many years have passed since that time and Alois is far from his homeworld, and the life that he knew there. Only time will tell where his life will lead him now...
