Interlude XXVI

The hyperdrive part of the trip is uneventful. Freyja is able to take a few minutes to review the news articles she's been putting aside for the last few months, so she can have a chance of knowing what is going on at home.

Talks of what to do with the traitorous Hausa have been on-going. Haus Kalatis' leadership was, of course, horrified at the acts of the Senator and has disowned him, formally casting him out of the Haus and making him an unnamed, unwanted person of ill importance in their eyes. He had not yet arrived at the time Freyja's queries saved that article, so no reaction from him or them is immediately available.

Notably the Haus called for the Jedi, asked them to validate their truthfulness, and made many public statements of shock, dismay, and having known nothing of this horror. Several of the Balmorran Jedi, including the female Wookiee stationed there, made quiet statements of assurance of the complete truthfulness of their words and concern. Freyja sighs in relief, very glad the Haus has been cleared. That had been a concern -- that neh more innocents suffer for the actions of the irresponsible few.

The Hausa who run Dosen Military Automation and Urnis Galactics both made statements of innocence, but neither has consulted with the Jedi. The two companies' PR departments are running advertising to try and staunch the tide of bad feeling about the companies, while the Hausa are being quiet. Freyja raises an amused eyebrow, and guesses that won't last.

A few articles do cover the usually-dull council meetings, most as just comments about major items decided. One has a video clip of Baron Forsetti Rigg speaking clearly and emphatically in front of the council, "We all do know the things many of us make are dangerous, and hai, those things can fall into enemy hands. It seems some are forgetting we must do more than take money from the highest bidder; we must be sure to sell our products to those who will not turn them against us! How can we sit here and listen to them claim they knew nothing, or knew not who was ordering these huge, special tools? We all run large companies, and have large households. We all know an order of this magnitude is not a secret, and is not something that slips through the cracks! We must ask ourselves, and the parties involved, 'How could you sell things like this so thoughtlessly?'" Despite all his flaws in coping with his family, here on the Council floor he is in his element and seems to be swaying the others.

Freyja grins, feeling a quiet surge of pride in her father. He may not be the most thoughtful and considerate of family members, he may be an arrogant snob sometimes... but he does do his best to maintain his integrity and Haus honor.

There is no news of the still-missing former Count Miz Thullalkhazan. The Haus is being quiet, and trying to keep this out of the public eye. There is not much news about Balin Khoud -- at least after his initial outburst on Tanaab died away. An occasional comment from the Jedi that he is "still being investigated". Perhaps other Jedi will know more.

Despite most of the articles on the 'Net being dull and not containing much audio or video, it's clear there is some stress and tension among the Hausa. Several minor comments about Haus Jotunsen or Haus Rigg suggest quiet dislike of this new, unified powerhouse, and there are reports of minor skirmishes along several borders.

Haus Rigg has one neighbor who was fool enough to have an "industrial accident" which spread onto Rigg land. The invading droids were quickly and reasonably painlessly put down. There is video of Head Huskarl Magnussen standing in front of a flatbed lifter filled with slagged droid parts, saying, "We're gonna be returnin' 'em to their rightful owners. Unless they're fools, they'll be taking 'em back... along wi' th' bills f' property damage an' time." He sounds grim.

Freyja's face goes quietly still with worry. She's not happy to hear the other Hausa are so illogically looking for scapegoats just now. They have two, maybe three treasonous Hausa; a missing Count; a Fallen Jedi Master and a renegade ex-Senator -- for Valhall's sake, there's a flaming war on, and all the Hausa can think to do is whine about a completely dedicated, loyal Haus?! What is wrong with these people?! Vakkal also reads this, and says, "That does not look good. I hope they're taking the threat seriously."

Freyja sighs and nods to Vakkal, "Magnussen is neh fool and quite willing to give someone enough rope to hang themselves... and Mother's the most unassumingly efficient diplomat I've ever met. If this can be turned around to reason again, they'll do it." She shuts down her datapad, adding, "We'll find out more soon, once we're back in Balmorran space."

The Platinum Eclipse emerges into normal space without an incident, and contact with the planet is re-established. However, they have to wait several hours for the not-a-manus to appear in Colburth's much slower ship. Freyja is relieved to make it smoothly back, and happily settles in to update herself on the holonews while they wait for the former manus to blip back into regular space with them.

Most of the inter-Haus tension was fairly stable -- until six days ago. At that time there was an attack on the planetary Council by a large number of small droids. The HoloNews has a field day with this, having pictures of the usually sedate Council members hiding behind desks, with armed security returning fire across the chambers. The Council's external security had been bypassed entirely. Freyja is shocked, a startled, "Holy sheisse!" escaping her lips. She skims hastily for details, hoping all the sapients are now safe and the perpetrators in custody.

The details are there and, having had nearly a week to come in, reasonably complete. The media coverage first was a heyday of accusations and counter-accusations, as well as interviews with grimy security staff and frightened Barons. Damningly, the droids were made by Cyteller Automation and wore Haus Rigg family colors. The media vultures converged on Baron Rigg and his protégé, Fafnir Jotunsen, immediately after the attack, and a hand-cam got the Baron snapping, "Why in Hela's name would I attack a meeting I'm at, you idiots!" Looking pale but sounding more reasonable is Fafnir, adding, "Of course Haus Rigg was not involved in this in any way. Anybody could order droids and paint them that way... we will need more time to investigate who ordered them and where they have been."

Freyja's jaw drops, horror on her face at reading her Haus has been framed... then her eyes narrow and she continues reading in grim determination. Well, she'd thought she could relax while here. Obviously such is not to be -- apparently the Force has need of her here as well. She shares this shocking news with her friends via the link, continuing to collect data as assiduously as she can. The more she knows, the sooner she can get to work.

The reports over the next few days do admit -- not with the great publicity of the initial attacks, but they are reported -- that the droids were from a lot filed as "stolen" and had been reported to central authorities as such some weeks ago. No power units nor programming should have been installed while they were stored, and research now focuses on the origins of those. Later stories mention the power units came from several commonly available sources for which no Haus would take credit, and the programming was definitely not Cyteller... but identification on who it is has yet to be made.

And, as these were not high-power battle droids, but household security droids, they did not carry horribly damaging weapons. There was some property damage, and a lot of fire and confusion as papers and clothes and decoration were burned. There were a few burns and some smoke inhalation, but no fatalities. Freyja nods slowly. So... this was supposed to embarrass and distract. She'd guess one (or more) of the three shamed Hausa are the cause of this abominable behavior.

Vakkal reads this, then says, "I do not understand, Freyja. It sounds as if they did not expect anyone to be killed -- these are not all that dangerous a kind of droid. Any of the security staff of any of the Hausa would have been able to stop them easily. Why would they do this?"

Freyja says, "To embarrass and distract, Vakkal. If Haus Rigg weren't busy clearing its name, what might we dig up? If we follow the creds, I suspect we'll find Haus Dosen, Haus Thullalkhazan, or Haus Louveisen of Urnis Galactics are responsible." She adds thoughtfully, "I'm guessing not Dosen. That baron's just not terribly subtle."

Vakkal considers, then says, "I see. It is also interesting how the news coverage drops off. If you just look at the big headlines you don't see it was probably not Haus Rigg. I wonder if they did this on purpose."

Freyja nods, "Indubitably. Hm." She takes a moment to see which Haus produces the holonews, and which of the three possibly traitorous Hausa they're most closely linked with. The HoloNews is produced by Haus Louveisen and a couple of smaller, entertainment-oriented Hausa. Freyja grins, pointing at the information for Vakkal, "Certes, it's coming into view now. We'll see what we dig up once we've landed and cleared up our Haus and Hosting duties."

Kalatis' arrival on-planet is almost lost amongst the flurry of news about the attack on the Council. Haus Kalatis once again issues a statement of disowning and no-naming, and the distraught former Senator former Kalatis is caught on film looking healthy but shocked, and very, very alone. Watcher Manishsha and Master Roakkana are with him, in the pictures available.

Freyja sighs quietly, murmuring, "Poor man. He really has neh idea of the enormity of his crimes against his people, does he?"

Vakkal says, "Last we spoke to him he was sure he had committed none. I see he is with Manishsha and Master Roakkana. They will do their best for him."

Freyja nods, "True. Neh sign of Alleine either, which is good."

One other piece of news comes up in a search for things related to Haus Rigg. Apparently, last night at a formal dinner at an allied Haus, someone did or said something inappropriate... just what, no one will say. However, it resulted in the Lady Syf Rigg slapping the man she had accompanied to the gathering, shouting, "How dare you say that about my sister, you swine!" and storming out. Naturally the entertainment and gossip sections of the News ate it up, and had the angry picture of the Diamond of Balmorra across them. They also had a picture of Freyja from her wedding, looking absolutely beautiful, if bored senseless.

Freyja blinks, then bites her lip, stifling a giggle. Then she pauses a moment later, wondering more gravely just what is wrong with Balmorra. She murmurs quietly to Vakkal, "This is... unpleasant. We're going to have to justify ourselves even as we work to clear up whatever this puzzle is. I fear we'll see neh rest here."

Vakkal nods, "I'm sorry. I know you were hoping it would be calmer here." He asks carefully, "How do you feel about what your sister did?"

Freyja says, "Don't know yet. Not enough data." She smiles, "We'll see what she says first. For all I know she was told I was a lousy rider, you know?"

Vakkal asks, "Has she been known to do things like this before?"

Freyja thinks about it, then shakes her head, "Neh. I'm guessing the whole family is a little on edge, unfortunately." She sighs a little wearily, then smiles faintly, "How odd... to look forward to returning to Dantooine for the peace and quiet."

Vakkal shudders and says, "I'll take inter-Haus struggles over fighting Sith Lords any day, Freyja. Much less frightening."

Freyja murmurs diffidently, "I guess... we'll see." She sighs and puts her datapad away, then settles into the comms chair to do her part to help land.

The other ship finally appears, and landings are arranged. There is a slight delay in getting landing clearance until Fhazil makes it clear, "This other Jedi ship is with Lady Freyja of Haus Rigg, and we do not appreciate the delay, gentlebeings!" His stern tone and the invocation of the Arving Lady's name cut right through any resistance, and they are given ground clearance on Haus Rigg's private landing grid. Freyja smiles quietly, although it's not really a happy smile.

The landing is uneventful, although the two linked ships both have to separate and Jedi Avarras lands the rebels' ship by itself. As soon as the three ships' engines have powered down, staff from the mansion moves forward to meet them. There is quite a gathering of people there.

Freyja sighs quietly, relieved they'll soon be able to hand over responsibility for the rogue manus. She looks around at her friends and smiles, "All right. Are we ready?" She checks the monitor, hoping to see all the Jedi and related folks who were sent on early are safely there as well. The monitor shows her parents, her sister, Magnussen, Piper, several other servants and huskarls, Master Roakkana, Jedi Colburth, and Alleine. The Force-users tend to stay back a little, letting the family crowd closer.

Vakkal has put on the Haus colors and is wearing his huge blaster and the lightsaber Freyja made for him. He grins toothily. Fhazil takes a moment to give Freyja a big hug and say, "We're good. We love you. You're good. Don't let your Father get to you. Remember he's under a lot of stress now, if what you said is true."

Freyja grins a bit sheepishly, hugging Fhazil warmly back and murmuring into his comforting shoulder, "Thanks, sweetheart." She too has changed, from the sleek black leather to a more Balmorran look -- the very clothes she wore when they fled the planet previously, in fact. She looks a quite proper, modern Balmorran lady.

Freyja gently nudges to one side the anti-grav sled loaded with the bacta-tubes, so the right folks can come and fetch them right away. She stands in front of the exit and sighs gently... then straightens, puts back her shoulders, and lets the aristoi mask slip across her face. The door slides open and she strides gracefully down the ramp, waving and smiling at the people assembled there.

The mood is happy, but with tension underlying it. Syf runs forward and meets her sister at the base of the gangplank with a huge hug, surely a Net-worthy moment if there were any photographers nearby. Syf says, "Frey! I'm so glad to see you we've all been so worried and neh one would tell us where you were and everything has been so awful and it's so good that you're back here safe with us we never thought we'd see you again!" Despite being one long rush of words, partly mingled in a surprisingly intense hug, Syf seems genuinely relieved to see Freyja.

Freyja blinks, then smiles and gently hugs Syf. She's a little startled, but touched at her sister's concern. "I'm fine, Syffie -- we all are. Didn't they tell you we left Tanaab for Dantooine? If not, I'm terribly sorry. None of us wanted to worry you at all." She thoughtfully murmurs, as she turns with her sister to greet her parents a bit more decorously, "Why is it awful, Syffie? Why did you think you'd never see me again?"

Syf says, "Everyone was saying you'd gone off to try and stop the war but you'd just be at ground zero when it started, or you'd become one of those icky Sith people, or worse. And then they didn't want to let you come back!"

Freyja laughs, relaxing slightly, "Oh, Syf, neneh! I'm of the Jedi Order. I will always be of the Light." She grins affectionately at her sister, adding softly, "Who didn't want to let us come back?"

Freyja's parents wait for Syf's enthusiasm to wane, then step up to meet their returning daughter. Both of her parents look somewhat tired, and for the first time Forsetti looks old rather than merely stern. He says, "The Council, those idiots. Never mind it; it's taken care of." He steps forward to give his daughter a hug of his own, adding, "I'm glad you're home too, Freyja."

Syf nods at her Father's explanation, and goes to greet Vakkal and Freyja's paramours, with cheerful although not as emotional hugs of their own and happy questions about if they're managing to make Freyja happy, that verge on the embarrassing. Zero gets a little quiet but Fhazil grins and says, "We're doing everything needed, Lady Syf," which seems to be just right and makes the younger sister beam happily.

Freyja blinks again as her father hugs her instead of saluting first, then smiles and returns the hug smoothly, "Heiyo, honored Father, and thank you. I'd be interested in hearing which Hausa wanted us to stay away, considering they probably don't want the trash they've been slinging at us to be traced back to its source." She turns to hug her mother warmly, "Mother, it's so good to see you again." She giggles softly at Fhazil's answer to her exuberant sister, and over the link murmurs, You could always try telling her you want to have my baby!

Fhazil sends back a dirty-minded snicker, and I'll see if I can't get Zero drunk first -- having obviously heard that story. Zero only glares a little at Fhazil. Freyja's father says, "We thought of that, too. Problem is it was a recommendation of a closed-door committee... we're working on it, never fear." Erde returns the hug, "It is a relief to have you home." She gestures, "Would you like to introduce us all to our new guests?"

Freyja blinks startledly at her father, "They excluded you?!"

Forsetti chuckles, "Oh, they would never do that... they merely had an 'emergency' meeting while neither Fafnir nor I were available, the scoundrels." He sighs and says, "We're taking care of it. That's something you don't have to worry about. Now... how about these new people you've brought us?"

Freyja blinks again, "Ach! Where are my manners." She waves the other Jedi over, then says politely, "Honored parents, may I introduce some Jedi who were kind enough to aid us on Dantooine? These are the honorables Jedi Avarras of Yag'Dhul, Jedi Nimas Shul of Tibrin, Jedi Thov Rhull'las of Kothlis, Jedi Dorn Saffron of Alderaan, and Jedi Murn Vishallos of Naboo." She introduces the mouthy Gungan last, hoping that one will follow the doubtless more polite greetings of her manus partners. Then she turns and gracefully adds, "Honorable Jedi, my parents -- Baron Forsetti and Baroness Erde of Haus Rigg."

The Gungan is good, just as she promised to be. Dorn steps forward and smiles his bright smile, saying, "Thank you for your hospitality, Baron and Baroness Rigg. Your daughter has already been a good friend to us, and we are not surprised to discover her family to be as honorable."

Both parents look pleased at having this Jedi speak praises of their daughter, and Forsetti says, "You honor us. We welcome you to Haus Rigg as our guests and will serve and protect you as such." Dorn knows the correct response, "We shall abide by the rules of your House and be proper guests." The Baron seems pleased.

Freyja raises a faintly amused eyebrow and smiles at Dorn. Smooth! She is still smiling with gentle amusement as she carefully directs attention away from the curiously coincidental number of Jedi, "We also have some individuals who are in need of aid from the Jedi, my parents." She looks at Master Roakkana, murmuring mentally, It's the rogues, and asking aloud, "To whom should we entrust them, Master Roakkana?"

The big Wookiee steps forwards, casually nudging people out of the way, and rumbles, "Ah, yes. I believe Watcher Manishsha has been preparing room for them at the Jedi conservatory here. While I am sure Haus Rigg could see to all their needs, the Jedi are happy to take these under our care." He gestures to one of the transports, adding, "I had discussed this ahead of time; we'll move them there directly."

Freyja looks relieved, "Oh, excellent! There are three, including the leader, on a sled just inside the Eclipse, and the Osprey carried the other two." She grins, stepping forward to hug the big old Wookiee, "And we're so happy to see you again, Master Roakkana."

The Wookiee smiles and returns the hug, murmuring in Kashyyyk too soft for his voder to pick up, "I'm happy to see you all too, child. We have much to talk about."

Freyja nods gravely against his chest fur, also very quiet, "Hai. I fear there'll be little rest for us here, considering we have but a week or so to clear up this political mess." She sighs, stepping back with a proper smile on her face, "The individuals are in regular emergency bacta-tubes -- there should be neh problem decanting them. Those caring for them should keep them separated, however, for obvious reasons."

The five former Templars and the household servants begin loading the bacta tubes onto one of the waiting transports. Colburth takes a moment from helping with this to greet Freyja, without a hug, and say, "I'm going to be taking these back to the Watcher. It's good to see you and I'm sure I'll see more of you before all is said and done."

Freyja grins and cheerfully hugs Colburth, doubtless surprising him but not caring -- she's just tremendously relieved to see he's all right! "Colburth, we're so glad to see you're fine! Hai, we'll all chat together -- you, us, Master Roakkana, and Dorn's friends, all right?"

Dorn gives Colburth a quiet word, and Colburth gives him a hard look before Dorn steps back and murmurs, "We'll talk later, all right?" Freyja pauses, watching the two Human males communicating, then adds quietly, "We've got a terribly worrisome common enemy, guys. We should be working together, not fighting. Shall we try for that?"

Thov looks at Colburth and says, "I think we are. This not mean that we not owe Colburth apology anyway. We talk more later, yah?" Colburth seems to freeze at that, then says coolly, "Right. We'll talk more later."

Freyja smiles ruefully, then gently pats Colburth's arm, "Don't forget, we're all of the Light, my friend. Let's talk later, when we can share some tea and maybe a meal, hai?"

Colburth nods, "We'll talk. Later." He smiles for Freyja, then makes his way off in the transport, carrying the sleepers to the careful paws of the waiting Watcher.

Freyja sighs, looking around. She smiles and waves at all the servants and huskarls, "Thank you for coming out to meet me! So... we've kept everyone waiting here long enough. Shall we head back to the manse?" She grins and waves at Alleine too, happy to see him there, "Alleine, how are you? Doing well, I hope. I'm sorry I couldn't personally introduce you to Master Roakkana." She adds in a quiet aside to her parents, as they head back preceded by gleefully gamboling frehkees, "What's happening with the former Kalatis -- any idea?"

Freyja's family and household have politely not noticed any kind of stress between the Jedi. No one did anything more than be tense, and that they can handle. Erde says, "Come, we have rooms prepared for all of you, and a meal a little later. It is not too long a walk, or if you'd rather, we did bring the transport." Luggage, what there is, is given to staff with the transport, and the others walk back, admiring the tasteful grounds and enjoying the quiet, clean air.

Freyja's father answers, "Not much news there. He's in custody of the Jedi here, much to the Council's irritation. They're holding him on behalf of the Republic. Since the denouncing by his Haus all the life seems to have gone out of him. Poor fool."

Freyja shakes her head, "Poor man. He really didn't seem to have any idea he'd done anything wrong at all, despite being captured in an armed fortress with Sith aiding him."

Alleine smiles shyly at Freyja's greeting and says softly, "Master Roakkana has made me welcome, Padawan Freyja, so that I have not had cause to fear him or others. I have been trying to keep out of harm's way, and mostly succeeding. I did not realize how difficult it would be to avoid the vids here, though, particularly once Lady Syf found I could sing."

Freyja laughs delightedly, then grins affectionately at her sister, "Hai, Syffie's a complete pro -- she loves her work! We all love music and entertainment, but she's simply outstanding at it."

Alleine smiles, "She loves life, that much is clear."

Freyja smiles quietly, "Hai... but then again, most do, I believe." She checks a few late facts with her family as they walk back to the manse -- any news on the location of the former Count Miz? Have the Hausa who sold droids to the Oathers confessed yet?

Erde replies to Freyja's comment, "Hai, you found him there, apparently. And what did you do with the nasty Sith persons? Did they escape? Did they hurt you?" Magnussen murmurs, "Vakkal, ye didna let her get close to them, did ye, laddie?" Fhazil says brightly, "No, indeed, he didn't. Stepped right between her and the Sith and was prepared to take whatever he doled out. Bore most of the brunt of a stun grenade." Magnussen says, "That's me boy!"

Freyja grins cheerfully at her friends, then smiles a little ruefully at her mother, "Unfortunately those Sith are neh more." Then she laughs and adds, "Mo-o-o-ther! Even if they had hurt any of us, we'd have just healed ourselves up and kept going until the job was successfully completed." She grins, adding, "You already know that!" Then she adds, changing the subject, "Oh! One important thing -- the Sith lord Ghang's sword still rests untouched in my room, hai?"

Alleine looks at Freyja and the others at the question about the Sith, trying not to look worried, but says nothing. He relaxes a little at Freyja's comment, and at Fhazil's addition, "It was quite a fight. I'd have been happier not to have done it, but we were offered no choice. Four against one, though, so it wasn't likely we'd get hurt." Magnussen nods approvingly again.

Erde tells her daughter, "Hai, it's been left alone, just as you said."

Freyja smiles, "Excellent. I didn't think anything would happen, especially with the droid I left on watch, but I had to check. I'll take it with us to return to the Si'yul when we return to Dantooine."

Forsetti says, "Neh word on Count Miz, neh. There's rumor he never left -- sent off an empty ship -- but that is just as likely poppycock. The droid source has not turned up yet either. Lots of distractions whenever we ask those questions, though."

Freyja nods gravely, "Well, we only have a week or so to do our best to clear this up, Father, but I'm at your service in whatever means you need on this matter. I doubt the Jedi will have much for me to do, after all... they'll have their hands full with those five injured folks." She pauses, then adds slowly, "Any news on the false Red General?"

Neither of her parents have anything new about that, her Father adding, "He hasn't raised his head around here. You might search the news archives if you haven't already. I've been a little buried making other news there to try and follow all the Galactic news." He smiles sheepishly, adding, "I always did look for news from where you were, though."

Freyja smiles quietly at her father, surprised and touched, "Thank you, Father. I fear after Tanaab we weren't very public, though... we hit Garqi only long enough to capture the former Kalatis, then headed for Dantooine to clean up a small problem there so the peace negotiations could continue smoothly as soon as the Malice arrived. That's why we'll have to head back soon -- so Watcher Manishsha is returned to Jedi Master Sarn's side, to aid him and the Vice-Chancellor in the negotiations."

Her Father sighs, "I know, daughter, I know. I wish it weren't so, but I know." He looks at her and adds, "It's a great comfort knowing you're home safe."

Freyja smiles a little sadly, "Thank you, Father. I just hope I've not brought trouble down on us by being here... but I figure even the fake Red General needs two weeks to get here." She grins a bit tiredly, then adds, "But for now... hai, you're right. We have a lot to do, and very little time to do it in. Food first, then planning." She adds thoughtfully, "When Jedi Colburth returns tomorrow, I need to borrow one of the nicer, more intimate meeting rooms, Mother and Father, for a nice tea or lunch or something. Is that all right?"

Neither parent has any concern with that at all, her Father adding, "Fafnir will want to see you sometime too. He's still at the Council now, arguing with them. He's developed quite a useful technique the others are only slow to respond to. I hear Haus Thullalkhazan is actually trying to hire a historical advisor to counter him." Her father laughs and adds, "I never knew ancient history could be so much fun."

Freyja giggles, enormously pleased to hear Leif is doing so well! She grins, "Good for him." She considers a moment, then quietly adds, "Are people pushing the Hausa Dosen, Louveisen, and Thullalkhazan to speak before Jedi yet? This is too serious to leave for too long."

The group arrives at the mansion, with the first-time visitors making quiet, appreciatory comments, much to the pride of the family. Servants show them to rooms to prepare for luncheon, leaving just the family for a moment. Erde says, "They've avoided saying anything important, but have spoken in front of Jedi. They refuse to discuss the important things." Forsetti mutters, "It's why they didn't want you landing. Too many Jedi."

Freyja frowns thoughtfully, "Very well... it would appear I shall have to attend a Council meeting or two, with an unaligned Jedi as well." She wrinkles her nose slightly -- she does not enjoy Council -- but simply nods, "I understand. Still, it is their duty as much as it is ours."

Syf adds, "You should have heard Father, Frey! He was wonderful." She drops into a surprisingly good impression of the girls' father, with voice and mannerism, saying, "What's this? How can you have too many Jedi? That's like having too much cred! Only your enemies can have too many Jedi! When my other daughter wants to bring a bevy of HoloNet stars here, neh one objects... how is this different? Only because my First daughter's friends are somewhat more dangerous does this bother you! This is a purely family matter, with neh security implications whatsoever, and she will be landing."

Freyja laughs delightedly, cheerfully hugging her sister, and grins at her parents, "You're great, you know that?"

Erde is smiling at Syf's mini-performance, and Forsetti is looking embarrassed. Syf says, "That's what I told them, too. I don't think they believed me either."

Freyja giggles, "How could they not believe you?"

Syf just giggles too, then says, "It's good to have you back, Freyja." Freyja grins.
