Admiral Rennyn Shaelean Miritar Aelorothi, Commander Elven Imperial Fleet (Rennyn)
Rennyn was born on the deck of a ship that his mother was serving on as Ship's Priest on, in the middle of the Ocean (His middle name was chosen to reflect this. Shalean means "Son of the Ocean"). His family was a Noble House on Evermeet, but he was never idle. Coming from a family that had Evermeet Navy Seamen and Priests, he was given a choice between the two. Thankfully, while he was hopeless in the ways of the clerics, he was a good sailor. He excelled in the art of sailing, and was gradually promoted through the ranks of the Navy until he reached his goal: Captain.
Unfortunately, this was not to last. Rennyn's ship was destroyed chasing down a pirate who had been preying upon Elven ships. The battle was short, but fierce, and Rennyn sunk the ship. However, at the last possible moment the Captain of the ship and his officers, escaped aboard a strange spider-like ship that swooped down from the sky. The flying ship rounded on Rennyn's ship, and sunk it. Rennyn and a handful of his crew survived the sinking, and vowed to avenge their fallen crewmates. Rennyn returned to Evermeet, and started asking questions about the flying ships. Eventually, his questioning bore fruit. It was a Spelljammer, and Evermeet had them too! The Elven Imperial Navy.
Rennyn enlisted immediately, along with his First Mate, and three others from his crew. His training was done aboard a Man-o-War that stayed within Realmspace for the majority of his first three months. Finally, Rennyn was sent to the Rock of Bral to participate in an EIF Campaign to round up "undesirables". Unfortunately, during an encounter with one such "undesirable", a cursed ring was slipped onto his finger. His appearance changed to make him drow and he could not remove the ring. Due to his appearance, he was rounded up by other EIF Officers, and sent on a suicide mission cleverly disguised as "intelligence gathering". He returned from the mission - barely - with a greater understanding of drow, and a level of racial tolerance that is nearly unheard of in High Elves. The mission itself heralded the start of the Second Unhuman War, though Rennyn could not be considered an active participant in the war. Rennyn gradually moved his way upwards through the ranks of the fleet.
In the far off Oloth Sphere, a conflict was brewing between the head of a local guild and the Admiral of that Sphere's EIF. The conflict culminated in murder, and suddenly there was an opening for an Admiral in the lawless sphere. Though there were many that were higher ranked, and more qualified for the position, Rennyn was chosen because of his unique experience with the Drow.
He quickly came to love the Oloth Sphere, and it became his home, his first home since he left Evermeet. Then, one day, the Third Unhuman War erupted, and Rennyn was called away from his homeland, possibly never to return. Five long years of fighting on the frontline passed, and Rennyn was sent home. The war was far from over, but it was time for him and his troops to be replaced by fresher troops who were closer to the combat zone... thus Rennyn's return to his place in the Oloth Sphere and her Imperial Navy.
